     hi all, how are you.?

    i have just purchased a autel md802 maxidiag elite series.

    i ear a lot of good things about it & cant wait to learn all of its use's.

    but, i have a little question....

    i have a friend with a car benz 2004 w211 e320 cdi, that dont start, & the battery is dead. 

    if i plug my new autel md802 into this car, my unit wont get power to operate...

    can i plug a power adapter into my autel md802 for it to get power so it will diagnose the car, 
    or
    do i have to get power through my ignition for my autel md802 to work & diagnose.?

    help please..

     Hi, when MD802 is powered by DC external power adapter, it cannot run diagnostic program. Besides, vehicle could not answer commands from MD802 when vehicle has no power. So please try to fix the battery issue first.
